The substance of painting is light

When you work in 3ds max, its easy to forget about the default lights that are at work. In all the previous images I have posted, the lights in the scene have been the default lights in 3ds Max.  Thast all good and well for some situations, but for more detailed work you should create your own lights.

Temporary Box-out

I’ve completed the box-out, making it easier to see how the roomwill look upon completion. The room does not look exactly like the reference picture, but I am satisfied with the look – although there most certainly will be some adjustments along the way.

Yesterday I was assigned my first larger project in 3D Design, modeling a photorealistic interior design. This brings a lot of challenges, but I am determined to complete this project as best as I possibly can. There is a lot of work to be done.
