Noroff Institute, 3D Gamedesign

This year has become an involuntary work year, due to the fact that I did not meet the requirements of my previous choice of further education. Now I know for a fact that next year will not be the same. Earlier this week I got offered a spot at Noroff, with 3D Gamedesign as subject.

This is exciting news – and comes with a lot of change for me.

As some of you may know, I have mostly been doing stuff behind the graphics – the programming. Since I am coming from a background to the graphics it will take some time for me to adjust and adapt.

Ofcourse I am excited about this, I can’t wait to start learning all the ins and outs of 3ds Max – I have already begun viewing tutorials and videos, doing as much as I can to get a head start before school starts in August.

Noroff Institute is the only school (that I know of) which offers an education like this here in Norway. Only the two first years are available here, after that I will have to travel to England or Australia to finish a Bachelor or Master degree. Not that I have given this part too much consideration, I do suspect England would be the choice for me.

They also offer behind the graphics possibilities, how to program for game development.  But after watching a friend working with graphics it seems much more exciting and interesting. Working on the graphics which represent the visual aspect of a game, is just an amazing possibility.
